This blog is moving.....
I haven’t posted anything new lately because I have been trying to move over to Blogger. I do everything else through Google, so why not? My new blog link is HERE. I am still in the process of making it pretty and adding stuff to it, but I have transferred all of my posts over there. Still trying to figure out how to move the comments over from Disqus. (If you know how, please help!)

Celebrating Amber
Today, my baby girl turned 4 years old.
She was not happy that Mommy & Daddy were both going to be working today, so I decided to bring her to work with me. (Not recommended if you intend on keeping your sanity getting any work done)
First, there was painting:
Next - Sticking Littlest Pet Shop animals on Mom’s filing cabinet:

Bad News, Sad News..... What a crappy weekend.
Well, it is the second week in a row that I forgot to add my picture to the Flickr group 52 1/2 weeks of 2009. So, I quit. I didn’t forget to take the picture, just to upload it. Sunday (the deadline to upload the photos) is just not a good internet day for me. It is the only day that my whole family is at home and I often forget to turn the computer on. The theme for this week was a...

I love this girl....
The theme for the SPT this week is: I resolve to take more portraits with people I love. I was hoping to get all of us together for a quick photo last night, but as usual my plans were foiled. So, in a rush before I headed out for work this morning, I took this picture with Amber. She is ALWAYS willing to jump in front of the camera with me.

Drunk Drive
Here is another post for the Flickr group 52 1/2 weeks of 2009. The theme for the week was “Outside your house/Where you live) With only 5 minutes to take the picture, I did not get very creative. Here is the end product:
That sign hangs on the shed in the backyard. Pretty redneck huh?
Unfortunately, I forgot to upload it yesterday, so it did not get entered for the week. :( Story...

Yes, that’s right. The Florida Gators are the 2009 National Champions. Can life get any better than that? Now, I do have to admit that I did not watch the whole game. I wanted to, believe me, I REALLY wanted to. I wanted to watch the...

The Rose That Grew From Concrete
This is in response to a blog prompt on Digital Scrapbook Place: Happy Birthday Elvis! Who is your favorite singer that is no longer living?
I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard that Tupac had died. It was September 13, 1996 and I was in the truck of my ex boyfriends father waiting for him to come out of a friends house. Of course, I had heard that he was shot 6 days...

Week 1/2
This is my first post for the Flickr group 52 1/2 weeks of 2009. I decided to go with this group since I am already participating in the SPT challenge from Lelly. I figured, how many photos of me could you actually want to see?
The “theme” of the week was the word START.
Here’s my photo:
We have made a new START buying our first home together. We STARTed Amber’s...

I was going to blog tonight but.....No, really, I...
I promised my son that I would let him use the computer if he cleaned up his room. Not only did he do that, but he helped with the dishes too.
Before signing off, I leave you with this bizarre story: Thor
Do you think he will keep it around just in case another one comes back?

New Years bust.
We decided for New Years that we didn’t want to go out and that we would have a few people over instead. Some people told us right off the bat that they wouldn’t be able to make it. (We live out in the middle of nowhere) But there were some people that suggested we have the party at our house that said they were definitely coming and didn’t show up. Well, Steven, Keith’s...

Reflecting on 2008
The year is coming to an end and now is the time to look back at the good and bad of the last year before starting anew in 2009. I cannot say that 2008 was the greatest year, but there were some good parts too…..
2008 started off with me having to find a job because the job that I had worked at for the past 5 years was given to a family member. («<Enough about that, I still get...

Dated & Drunk
So, last night I was at my in-laws house talking to my father-in-law & brother-in-law. We were discussing the new Batman movie and then this: FIL - What about the Green Hornet? BIL - The only Green Hornet that I know of is from Spiderman Me - Yeah that’s the only one I have heard of too. FIL - No this guy wasn’t on Spiderman, he was a Detective on a TV show BIL - (Looks at me) Well...

I was lost but now I'm found......
We had our Christmas party at work last Friday, and I had a great time! We had a gift exchange and our limit was $3. Do you know how hard it is to find a decent gift for $3? Needless to say, I think we all may have went a little over our budget, but it was well worth it!
Marie is really into frogs….I hunted on a great auction site and managed to get her a frog magnet & also a decoration...

Bricks & Gravy?
Saturday night, our niece and nephew slept over. We decided to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast. I made the gravy while Chelsea was making the biscuits. The first batch (made from scratch) didn’t rise and came out hard as bricks, so I got out the biscuit mix and Chelsea tried again. Unfortunately, the second batch came out the same way. So, instead of eating them, we made Christmas...

My Sister-in-law & I took the kids to the Brooksville Christmas parade on Saturday and we met up with some girlfriends there. All of us together ended up being quite a nice size group. We had 4 Moms, 4 teenagers, 3 elementary school boys, & 2 toddlers.
The parade was nice. Not what I am used to (The New Port Richey Parade), but nice for...

Miracles do happen........
My father is 54 years old and married a Filipino woman 20 something years younger than him. Together, they had my sister Katelyn who is 5 years old. My father has been out of work for about a year now with back problems, and has been worried about how that will affect Katelyn’s Christmas this year.
Last year, my father purchased a Christmas tree for $30, so he put aside $30 this year to...

Holiday
I was born in Connecticut, but my mother moved me to Holiday, Florida when I was still a baby. I lived in Holiday most of my life, with a few moves out of town as a teenager (Yes, I was one of THOSE kids). To be honest, I never really had any plans on leaving Holiday. All of my friends are there, as well as my immediate family (except my Sissy). Even after I got together with my husband, there...

SPT - Joy
Since buying our new house, I have a different route home from work that takes me along some nice country roads in Brooksville. Fort Dade Ave (see pic above) brings joy to me every day. It doesn’t matter how bad of a day I have had, as soon as I turn onto this road, I am calm. I am happy. I am joyful.

A note to me......at 14
Dear Tina,
I just wanted to let you know that you are a wonderful person and that one day you will actually believe that. The boy that broke your heart wasn’t the one for you. You WILL meet your knight in shining armor and he will sweep you off your feet. Don’t start smoking. Just don’t do it. You will regret this choice. You will be a mother next year which is a very scary...

Not changing a thing!
If you could change, undo or modify one decision in your past, which would it be and why?
There is honestly nothing in my life that I would go back and change if I was given the opportunity. I feel like every choice that I have made, whether good or bad, has led me to this point in my life. The point where I can say that I am truly happy. I have 2 beautiful children, an amazing stepson, and...

SPT - Love
Little Miss Taylor was terrified of Sasha the first time that she saw her, and to top it all off her Mommy wasn’t around to comfort her. It took some time for her to get used to being around our puppy, but as you can see there was nothing but love between the two of them by the end of the day.

Dear Mom,
Dear Mom,
Thank you for always being there for me, even if the choices that I made were not the best ones. Thank you for offering your support and guidance, a shoulder to lean on, and someone to share stupid jokes with. Thank you for becoming as scrap obsessed as me. Thank you for being you.

A Rivalry that I will forever be a part of......
Saturday was the game of the year. My Superbowl, The Wrestlemania of college football. Gators vs. Seminoles. I am not a big fan of any sports, but this is the one game a year that I would call into work sick if needed. I don’t think I have missed one yet. I am a HUGE Gators fan, while my Dad is an even bigger Seminoles fan. Now, I don’t want to rub it in too much, but we won. We Won....

Transportation
In response to a prompt HERE
My primary mode of transportation is a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker. Now, I have been told that this was a “Luxury” car back in the day. What is so luxurious about driving around in 60 degree weather with no heat and windows that won’t stay up? How about the horn that started honking while I was driving home yesterday? The one that wouldn’t stop...

It takes a long time to learn......
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night. - Now I do not know this from experience, but it sounds like a great plan to me. 2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved and never will achieve its full potential, that word would be “meetings.” - This is the complete truth! You should come sit in on...

"The average American looks at 8 houses before...
I guess we are not average. Keith and I have literally looked at hundreds of houses before finding the one that we are going to purchase. We looked at everything from mobile homes on land to new construction in a gated community. We even found a Pyramid House (which was really cool).
This house really would have been neat to live in, but it needed too much work and they didn’t want to...
